Our power went out tonight at about 7pm.....bedtime (for the girls). Now keep in mind that we (and when I say we I mean Isabel) REALLY need power. Besides all of her very important medical equipment that needs to be plugged in and used 24/7, that girl cannot live without ac and her fan! So after about 30 minutes we loaded up into the big van where we can power all her equipment and went to get ice cream. We tried to put it off as long as we could, but we had tired girls and couldn't stay in the van all night so we broke down and got a $120 hotel room (thanks to my dad who is visiting!). We trekked up to our room and started unloading Isabel onto the bed and guess what.........Francisco called to say our power at home was back on! We weren't about to waste a $120 room (why in the world would a hotel in Yuma be so expensive? Who comes here for vacation??) so we decided to stay and have a little sleepover. Isabel was excited. So I went back home to pick up the rest of Isabel's essential items for an overnight trip which barely fit into a GIANT suitcase and drove back to the hotel, got Isabel situated and ready for bed, got a mean phone call from our downstairs neighbors who did not like hearing little footsteps, tried to force Cori to lay down and go to bed (she hates sleeping anywhere but her own bed), listened to her scream for a few minutes, gave up and brought her home. Now she is sleeping peacefully and I am waiting for Francisco to get home from work at midnight (oh yes, he was at work this whole time, lucky guy) and then I will head back to the sleepover. At least Isabel had fun jumping on the bed with Aunt Niki. She wasn't supposed to tell me, but she did, because she is a good girl :)
