San Diego

We went to San Diego this past weekend with all of Francisco's family. We had so much fun. We were able to stay at the Naval base on Coronado Island and go to Sea World. Isabel loved atching the shows and especially loved seeing the 4D Sesame Street movie.

Francisco and his girls

Our only nephew, Xzavier. He is such a sweetie. He loves to cuddle all the time, completely opposite of Cori.

Me, Francisco, and the girls as close to the ocean as we could get without taking Isabel on the sand.

The whole family - Francisco's sister Perla and her boyfriend Jaime, his sister Myra, his mom Marina, little brother Walter, sister in law Amanda, little Xzavier, his big brother jose, and us :)

This is the hotel we stayed at, right by the sand

The girls got penguins at Sea World, they held them the whole drive home to Yuma.

Poor little puppy :(

You may have noticed the big red spot Isabel has had on her left cheek for the past few months. It wasn't going away on it's own so she had to go to a dermatologist at Phoenix Children's Hospital to have it biopsied. They just used a local anestetic, punched a hole in it, cleaned it out, and put a few stitches in. We were hoping that would take care of it, but it didn't. She still has a big red spot. The results of the biopsy showed that it was just a cyst which is completely harmless, but in order to get rid of it completely they would have to remove all of it which would leave about an inch long scar on her face. We don't want to put her through another surgery so we are going to wait six months and see if it gets better on it's own.
The day after the surgery with her big bandage.

Watching tv with Cora

Just a cute pic of Isabel with her buns. We like to call them teddy bear ears :)

A few things Cori has been up to this month.....

Practicing gymnastics

Playing dress up

Getting her ears pierced (she did sooo good!)

Taking a bath like a big girl

Being goofy

Sticking out her tongue

Hangin out with Aunt Niki

Going swimming

Eating peaches

Sitting in a basket (Francisco's solution to bringing her and her toys downstairs at the same time). I think she actually enjoyed it.

Learning how to sit up

Sucking her thumb

Falling asleep in her exersaucer

And laughing!

Just a few things

I finally figured out to use my scrapblog as a header....actually Francisco did. Computers and I don't mix :)
And...... after months of MANY of my friends telling me that I have to read the Twilight books I finally bought the first one while I was at the store today, but haven't started reading it yet. That might take me another couple of months.
I also have a bunch of new pics to post later.

Cute girls!

I just can't resist putting the girls in matching clothes. They probably won't like it when they get older but I think it's adorable! These were their very first matching dresses. Isabel was trying to look at Coralie because she wouldn't hold still, she was just a week or so old.

They probably get tired of me making them sit next to each other for pics, but I can't help it. They are too cute!

More to come......

Swimming and Playing

The girls swimming with Uncle Jose and Xzavier
Isabel loves sitting in the pool. It is probably one of her favorite things to do. She kicks her legs and moves her arms up and down like she is swimming. Unfortunately, it is so hot in Yuma that swimming doesn't even keep you cool. We have to wait until the sun starts going down and dump a bucket of ice in the water because it comes out of the hose hot!
Cori is ok with swimming as long as we don't put her on her back. She will freak out. Mostly she just likes to drink the water!
Xzavier and Coralie. I love this pic. They had so much fun playing together....
and trying to eat each other!

4th of July

For the 4th of July Francisco's older brother Jose, his wife, Amanda, their son Xzavier, and Francisco's younger brother, Walter, came down to Yuma to visit. They live in Sierra Vista so it's always fun when we can all get together. The girls and I have only seen Xzavier one other time since he was born. He is such a cutie, we loved being able to spend time with him. He is our only nephew and the girls' only cousin. Can you believe he is only a couple weeks younger than Coralie! She is a little butterball!

Me and the babies!
You can't see it in the picture but Isabel is wearing a cute little skirt that matches Cori's dress.
My brother in law, Walter.
Poor Isabel doesn't get out of the house much so she had a blast just hanging out outside and listening to the band playing 80's music while we waited for the fireworks to start.
Amanda, Jose, and Xzavier. Aren't they cute!

The babies fell asleep but woke up in time for the fireworks, although I don't think Cori even noticed them . She was too busy looking around at everything else.
We really wanted Izzy to see the fireworks because she didn't get to go the last two years so she has never seen any! Her first 4th of July she was in the hospital and last year we were afraid it would be too hot for her. Well, the fireworks didn't start until 10 and at about 9:55 Isabel started falling asleep! We tried to keep her awake and I think she saw a few of the fireworks. Maybe she'll do better next year!
