I love that I can have a pot of flowers here that won't fry in the sun, shrivel up and die!
I 've been wanting a garden for a while but we aren't supposed to plant anything in the ground so I decided to make a mini garden. I planted a couple tomato, cucumber, jalapeno, mini watermelon and strawberry plants, and some basil and oregano. Hopefully they will do ok in the small pots.
This is our front patio.(Thanks to Francisco for painting the pots for me! They were ugly gray before.)

Sounds like you guys are totally enjoying Cali! That is awesome. Way to go on the garden.... i planted flowers this year for the first time...they didn't do as good as i had hoped.
